in order to raise funds for a house that the pledge wants to purchase, a group of us were going to head up to 5th fl ToI and maybe get a few scrolls to donate to the cause. Just going to 4th was a challenge, but we actually did better then I thought we would, killing everything very quickly. groups of 3 cimaera were common, and so were groups of swords. I must say, the ONLY problem with swords is that they are nearly impossible to target after they start hitting you. and when there are 3 of them, it happens quick. anyways, we go to 4th, and here's what was waiting for us. we all had to venz from it, and no one wanted to go back...

Well, I first heard about the bannings two nights ago. I was in shock for quite a while. I think permanent bans were waaay to harsh under these circumstances. After that dude posted on the lineage.com boards that pandora could be used to increase castle income NC should have announced that exploiting Pandora's prices will result in permanent bans. Better yet they should have brought down the servers and fixed Pandora's prices immediately after they thought people might try to exploit prats at Pandora. The whole situation would have been avoided. NC could have prevented all this but what's done is done. What now?

I think the bans were a good start. However, do the players deserve permanent bans? Not by a long shot. NC stated they know exactly how many prats were bought/sold. NC could easily reverse any financial gain players obtained through this exploit. I doubt the money gained has gone very far from the players' accounts. Not much was gained and I dont think the players had time to spend it anywhere.

Some claim this isnt about about the financial gains, but is about cheating and exploiting. All cheaters should be banned these people say. How many elves were banned for learning two lines of magic? What is considered an exploit anyways? When are you simply being smart and when are you taking advantage of the system? When is it a bug and when is it intentional game mechanics? People take advantage of lineage all the time. People use multiple accounts and computers to camp bosses. People recreated many many mages to do the staff of mana quest when they heard it was being taken out. People jumped up and down stairs to get free rides to FI.

Where does NC draw the line? Nobody really knows. If your friend wis'd you and said they could sell prats to pandora to increase castle income would you say "holy shit dude that will get permanent ban! stop!". I doubt it.(of course we all would now) It's easy to see after the fact that what the players did was wrong. I dont think there's any doubt about that. They should be punished. However, people will always look for that edge; anything to give them an advantage (escpecially on dep). Shit I thought auto-attack was a bug when I first learned it from my friend. And double pump! I thought I had just gained the upper hand and there was a snowball chance in hell I was gonna tell NC about it.

Permanent bans are just too harsh. People make mistakes. Temporary bans would be sufficient. NC needs to reconsider these bannings.

My 2 cents. :)

I also think the worst thing to do right now is quit because one or more of your friends got banned. Dont blow your ac and weap just yet. :)

NC never ceases to amaze me. They post about changes to r-c scroll prices at Pandora. Word spreads like wild fire. You can buy r-c scrolls in town and sell to pandora to increase castle income. Instead of telling us this is an exploit and a bannable offense, they start handing out perma-bans like soup at a homeless shelter. NC needs to get their damn head on straight and realize what they've done. Owners of giran can exploit orange price in oren for months w/o consequence but try this now and get perma-ban?? I believe they've really fucked up big this time. They just killed dep server for a ton of people. NC never ceases to disappoint me either.

this was funny
there was a random npc reset right after dm started. during dm, mops started gathering in the center of the arena, not aggro to players in the dm. global agreed that mops were trying to go after people watching the dm. since kusang enhance and bbknights were in dm, not many were there, and most had to venz. swashbuckler and hkstyle were only ones left. neither had the balls to go and hit a mop, so they just stood there watching. swash said he was heavy.
valakas spawned and here's what it looked like:

Bowdangles was at tree and asked where best place to get nzels was. I told him 9th fl ToI even though I wasn't sure. So I told him Heine 4th fl was pretty good also. He didn't know way to 4th, and didn't have bm at heine dungeon either. So after getting lost on the way to the dungeon....we got lost some more, then again, then....we saw dungeon! we went in and I knew the way to 4th, sort of. anyways, we made it to 3rd, and on the way to 4th...

I would have given it to him, but he wanted nzels anyways, and his bow was +7 :)

a good friend of ours that quit a while ago came back as a prince. She made TheUsualSuspecTz, and bought a lovely super small house in Aden, so we all moved over to her pledge for the time being. The house is near storage, and a shop that buys spell books for more than the store at werldern. sb:fb, dex, etc are 1k. and sb's like sunburst sell for 1500a. AND the store sells wedding rings....which means nothing to me :(

I dont think anyone has ever excluded me, but there's a first time for everything. Smckilla was selling int shield so I offered him 40k for it :P. He proceded to tell me 100k was normal price. The following ensued:

I asked if he wanted to see em all and he told me to shutup. Maybe he doesnt like to chat, I dunno. Whatever the case, I think he needs to lighten up.

Here's someone else who doesnt agree with me. He cant say "no thx" but rather has to be a smart ass about it.
