I've been playin, but nothing to post about. Short hunts in owl and what not. I went with EpikFire, DcWalker and Magnetik to the lvl 50 quest on Sunday. Varlok was hard as hell though, and DcWalker ran through all his pots and had to venz. Hopefully we can finish him off and get the quest pieces soon. I don't have work tonight so I'll play lots tomorrow. Pics to come I hope.
Tonight I went to a manager's meeting in Kansas City. It's a weekly meeting for Genesh, Inc. General Managers. A few assistant managers, myself included, attended this meeting as well. It was an ego booster for me really. I learned a little about other stores and how they are run. When Genesh bought the Lawrence stores in Kansas I had this idea that all the stores they owned in Kansas City were superior, and the store I worked at was inferior. However, the meeting was held at a store in KC and the store was much dirtier than the one I maintain. The topics discussed were about cleanliness and safety. Many of the details came as common sense to me and areas they emphasized were normal procedure for me. My boss always told me I was doing a good job but I never had anything to compare it to. After meeting some of my peers and some people above me I feel I really am doing a good job. Also, I have seen the competition within the company and know I can do better. This meeting has revitalized my work ethic at Burger King. I already have goals in line for the next few weeks that I am at work. In the months prior to this my boss would talk about the crazy sales amount I did during graveyard shifts and about how sales were sooo much higher this year than last year for my store. Now I focus on the cleanliness and safety of the store. We have an inspection from a third party, EcoSure, in September. My goal now is to have the cleanest and safest store among the 9 stores Genesh owns.
