Preview 2 of episode 2 UI
I decided today to using the new episode 2 interface. I thought there might be some creative genius behind the new UI and it would be more intuitive and efficient for me to use. Thus, I figured it was time to get comfortable with all the new tweaks, , whether I like them or not.
I started out setting the transparency lvl to 2. I dont need total see-through, I only need to see possible movement behind the windows. Then I set all 24 hot keys. First set for fv, second set for fi and the third set for summon, hasting helm and hasting spells.

After the hot keys I summoned and hasted. The little delay timer in the bottom right is neat. Handy at times, but not really. I just like to watch the thing spin around really quick when I'm using a bunch of haste on summons or cone of cold on mops. I imagine it will be useful for elves, though, to know exactly when the b2s delay is over. One thing I really like is the countdown for all the spells you have casted on yourself. Mouse-over the spells in the upper right of the screen and you get a display with how many seconds are left.
The new pop ups when you click on summons is cool. Attack mode is much easier to get to now and you dont have a huge window popping up when you accidentally click on a summon during a hunt.
Then I turned on the overhead hp/mp bar. I tele'd to fv and I quickly noticed the first problem. The new overhead bars suck ass. One, the red and blue are too dark. They are health bars, they need to stand out. Having dark red for hp while hunting in fv doesnt look good. Two, when they get drained they are replaced with black instead of white. This also makes them very hard to read. Three, when you mouse-over yourself your name blocks the hp bar and the two bars become dimmed and a little transparent.
The bars over my head are useless when I'm hunting in FV. I turned them off and turned on the movable hp/mp bars. I extended them to max length and put them in a position where hp is where it normally is. This worked well but I am still disappointed. I want the old style party hp bar while I'm solo'ing. :( Without hacks mind you.
I got comfortable hunting and see a pack of eggs. I notice my next problem.
lol
Is this a known bug or is my shit messed up?
I switched to fireball as a temporary solution during the hunt. No frozen cloud while hunting FV is kinda serious though and annoying as hell. I'll probably go back to normal interface unless the problem fixes itself.
Another thing I liked about the interface was the near black background behind chat. It was very easy to read text. I also like how you can extend to more chat lines than before. It was easy to view all my summons drops after a hunt in fv.
NC just needs to revert to old hp/mp bars, both above chat and above your head, and I'll be happy.
Well, that's all for now. Time to hunt.

Man, yesterday wasn't cool at all. I was too tired to do anything but I couldn't fall asleep. I finally fell asleep AFTER my alarm went off that usually wakes me up.
Today will suck too. I dont have time to play lineage until sometime after midnight.
Oh well, until next time.

I saw KnightSpirit in FV today. He asked how BK was treating me. I said 'good, hehe.' He said he reads the blog and I said I read his, lineage_bushido. I didn't have his link here though so I added it. Knightryduz and knightspirit post there. They are some cool fellows.
I updated the Elsewhere list. Ai, Bizanti, Dreamisland, Landross & Puertoro2, and Tarasque had to go. I'm gonna add some additional links soon, links of blogs I've read for a long time but never got around to linking to. Leave a message if you have an active blog you want us to link to.
It's Monday and I was at Old Chicago tonight with my friends. One of my buddies had seen Anchorman and said it was hilarious. While discussing movies another friend brought up Quentin Tarantino. I mentioned how his films are more comedy than anything else. All the dialogue, no matter how serious, is so damn funny. Anyways, my friend who had seen Anchorman had never seen all of Pulp Fiction or any of Jackie Brown. I have Jackie Brown on DVD so we went to his place to watch it(he has a big TV and all sorts of other shit). He thoroughly enjoyed it, as I do everytime I see it. Jackie Brown is a movie where you don't even have to watch it after the first time. You can just listen to it and get all the entertainment you need. The dialogue is awesome. I'm thinking if I ever go on a long road trip again I'll have Jackie Brown audio, maybe Pulp Fiction too, on a CD and listen to it in the car.
That's all for now. Lates.
